Pieces I’m really into it / Things I’m probably going to steal

Music is a big part of my life. Every once in a while, something catches my ear and makes me want to copy it. Here are little tidbits of cool sounds that I like to hear and will probably try and incorporate in my own music.

India Bourne’s cello and the way the drums march is haunting.

I have always been a big fan of how the NBHD shifts its tone. During the chorus, there is almost an electronic “drop” type situation that happens. I really dig the vibe that this has.

Being someone of Indian descent, it is always interesting when you hear traditionally Indian instruments in a western alternative song. It’s pulled off well here, and I think learning to incorporate other types sounds something I really want to get into.
